King of Nothing ~ Review

King of Nothing is the first book in the Boys of Almadale series. The book is told from duel points of view from Landry and Corbin. Landry has lived with her dad most of her life since her parents' divorce. However he travels a lot for work, and her mother decided it would be better if she moved in with her and her new husband.

When Landry gets to her new house, she realizes her new stepfather Chester is a billionaire. She also learns she has two new stepbrothers Brock and Bodhi. Upon arriving the twins and their friend Corbin don't like her. She's not sure why. She learns that she will be living on campus along with the rest of the students who go to Almadale high and that her stepbrothers and their friends are the three most popular students at school and are called the Kings.

Landry is roomed with Trixie who has her own problems with Bodhi. Therefore Trixie and Landry are the social outcasts. Brock and Bodhi decide Corbin should start "falling" for Landry to try to get the information they are looking for. However as the story progresses, Corbin and Landry have feelings for each other. Corbin is hiding his own secrets, and is afraid Landry will ruin his future of what he's trying to do.

I really enjoyed this book, but I feel Corbin wasn't really a bully to Landry. He just followed along with what Brock and Bodhi wanted. Brock was more of the bully then the rest of them. However I am very excited to read Brock and Bodhi's stories in the future. Brock was hiding something in this book, and I can't wait to see what it was. I'm hoping Bodhi and Trixie end up together.

** I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
