Break Me ~ Review

Break Me is the 5th and final book in the Brayshaw High series. The first book in this series was the first book I've read by this author and I was instantly hooked. Break me features Royce and Brielle. Brielle is the sister of someone we meet in the past books. This book is told from dual points of view which is my favorite writing style because we get to know both characters points of view.

I loved this book so much. The dynamic between Brielle and Royce. They both come from different backgrounds. Brielle is someone who everyone likes instantly, and Royce is one who most fear due to his last name and the power he has.

This book is my favorite in the series. I liked Royce in the other books, but his story just pulled my heart strings! He went through so much to find his happy ending. Brielle had a rough upbringing, but knew that life had to get better.

I'm sad to see this series go, but I'm hoping we see these characters pop up in other books as well.

The Hunter ~ Review

The Hunter is the first book in the Boston Belles series. This is Hunter and Sailor's story. We met Hunter in the past books and we met Sailor's parents in Sparrow.

Hunter is the playboy with the bad reputation, and Sailor is the goody goody who doesn't like going out. She is training to be an archer and wants to go to the Olympics. Hunter is caught in a scandal and his dad tells him he has to be clean and no partying for 6 months, or he will lose his spot in the Fitzgerald family fortune. He basically hires Sailor to be a babysitter since she isn't into the partying scene.

Hunter thinks Sailor is a bore at first, and Sailor can not stand Hunter. Although living together feelings start to change. Can he get past his bad boy ways and settle down with one person? Can she come out of her shell.

My favorite thing about this book was the banter between the two characters. It's what they were good at. It had me laughing out loud at a few spots.

I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait for more in the series!

Cruel Kisses ~Review

Cruel Kisses starts off right where Devious Kisses ends and oh my what a great book this one was. I will admit it left off on a cliffhanger and I can not wait to see what happens when the next book comes out. I'm not sure I can take the wait!

The book is told from Julian and Mia's point of view. Mia's mom just passed away and she found out some secrets. Her aunt told her to run and hide because she was in danger from her father and Julian and his family. She staged a getaway and ran and hid while trying to find out answers to her past.

Julian did everything he could to find Mia and protect her. He had some answers from his past shed on him as well. He found her and stayed with her while they tried to figure out what was going on.

So many secrets came out as well as some twists and turns. Who is after Mia and putting her in danger? Can Julian protect her and trust her when things come out that she might not be as innocent as she seems?

This book had me on edge and I couldn't put it down! I had to know what happened next. I loved the character development between all the characters in this book. As well as the times Liam was there for Mia when Julian wasn't. I'm excited for the next book in December and am excited to see where Mia and Julian's story goes and if they can get the bad guys!

Fake ~ Review

Fake is the third book in the Madison Kate series. You should read the first two books before reading this one. I loved the first two books and was so excited to start this one!

This book starts right off where book two left off. A secret came out and Madison Kate is upset and leaves her boys to figure out her life, since they are full of lies. Archer's brother Zane takes her in to stay with the Reapers.

The stalker and the killer are still after Madison Kate. Can the boys reconcile with Madison Kate? Can they keep her safe?

I really loved the character growth in this book as well as the banter between Madison Kate and her three boys. Especially her scenes with Archer. I wanted to punch and hug him at the same time!

I can't wait to see what happens in the last book and hope they get her away from the killer and stalker!

Such a great series!

Wicked Princess ~ Review

Wicked Princess is the third book in the Royal Hearts Academy series. This book could be read as a standalone, however I feel you should read Cruel Prince and Ruthless Knight before reading this book. There is a lot we learn in the first two books that come in handy when reading this book. Wicked Princess is Bianca's story. I will admit in the first book I did not like Bianca at all. In the second book I started to like her a little better. In this book I fell in love with her!

Bianca was the bully in the first two books, and I wanted to hate her. However we learn so much about Bianca and have a lot of flashbacks to her past that we learn is how she came to who she is today. This book had heartache, and angst, and was the perfect book for Bianca.

Bianca goes through so much in her book. I loved her character development through the book, as well as her development with her family and friends. It was nice to see more flashbacks with Liam as well. In all of the books we learn a little more about Liam and what happened to him. I also love the guy Bianca ended up with, and I think he is perfect for her!

I really loved this book, and can't wait for more by this author!

Restraint ~ Review

Adriana Locke has done it again! Restraint is Blaire's story. We met Blaire in her brother's and cousin's book, and I was very excited to get her book. This book is the first book in the Mason series.

Blaire meets Holt at an airport. They end up having a one night stand in a hotel room. Blaire leaves in the early morning and that's it. Or is it?

They run in to each other again, and things develop and Holt says Blaire can stay with him while her apartment is renovated. Blaire isn't the dating type and doesn't have any real friends. Holt is going through a rough patch after a failed relationship a few years ago and isn't sure if he should be inviting another women in his life.

I loved Blaire and Holt's story, and can't wait for the next Mason brother's book :).

Reign ~ Review

Reign is the third and final installment in The Sainthood Boys series. You need to read the first two books before this one. These books have a lot of characters and their roles and one thing I really like about these books is they have a list of the gang structure and control at the beginning of the book and it describes who is who and what role they are.

Reign is told from the main point of view from Harlow. However Saint, Galen, Caz, and Theo have a chapter or two each so we can see how they are thinking and feeling. Harlow and her boys are still trying to take down the Sainthood, as well as the other two gang chapters. Harlow has gained the trust of her four boys, and I love all the character development that happened in this book.

This book was such a wild ride, and I was hooked the whole time! I didn't want to put it down, but at the same time I didn't want to finish to fast because I didn't want it to end! I loved this series and I'm sad it's over, but I know we will get more great books by this author!

King of Nothing ~ Review

King of Nothing is the first book in the Boys of Almadale series. The book is told from duel points of view from Landry and Corbin. Landry has lived with her dad most of her life since her parents' divorce. However he travels a lot for work, and her mother decided it would be better if she moved in with her and her new husband.

When Landry gets to her new house, she realizes her new stepfather Chester is a billionaire. She also learns she has two new stepbrothers Brock and Bodhi. Upon arriving the twins and their friend Corbin don't like her. She's not sure why. She learns that she will be living on campus along with the rest of the students who go to Almadale high and that her stepbrothers and their friends are the three most popular students at school and are called the Kings.

Landry is roomed with Trixie who has her own problems with Bodhi. Therefore Trixie and Landry are the social outcasts. Brock and Bodhi decide Corbin should start "falling" for Landry to try to get the information they are looking for. However as the story progresses, Corbin and Landry have feelings for each other. Corbin is hiding his own secrets, and is afraid Landry will ruin his future of what he's trying to do.

I really enjoyed this book, but I feel Corbin wasn't really a bully to Landry. He just followed along with what Brock and Bodhi wanted. Brock was more of the bully then the rest of them. However I am very excited to read Brock and Bodhi's stories in the future. Brock was hiding something in this book, and I can't wait to see what it was. I'm hoping Bodhi and Trixie end up together.

Desolation ~ Review

Desolation is the first book in this series. It is a modern fantasy RH novel. This book is told from multiple points of view between Lana and her mates. I really like this writing style because it lets me know what the characters are thinking and feeling. It starts out with Lana in her past life losing her mates, due to a battle.

In the new life Lana is with a foster mom named Beth. Beth also fostered her five brothers Ash, Zedd, Hale and the twins Leo and Luke. Lana has feelings for all of them, but isn't sure if they feel the same way as her. They all bring something different to the table.

Their 21st birthday is coming up and the boys want to do something special for Lana. She learns that they have feelings for her as well. They are out and about when a storm picks up the day before their birthday and their foster mother passes away from complications. Lana learns that Beth had passed away before, but was reincarnated to take care of Lana and the five boys until their 21st birthday, and it was time for her to go and be with her husband and son.

At the hotel after their foster mother passes, Lana learns that they have all been reincarnated and are all Fae and they need to protect their realm. A witch comes to collect them for training. While they are at their training Lana has meetings with Gaia a goddess and learns that her five boys are her mates for life. They were all together in her past life. They are training go learn their powers and how to work with them. This is their last chance to save their realm.

As they are training Lana learns who has the dark magic and has to battle with them. Can she get enough training before returning to her realm? Can her mates protect her. This book ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Liar ~ Review

Liar is the second book in the Madison Kate Series. You should read Hate first, because this book starts off right where Hate ends off. Madison Kate is being stalked and her stalker now is trying to show he left she’s being lied to by Archer, Steele, and Kody. However she is not sure what they are lying about. She wants to be with them but doesn’t know if she can trust them. Her father comes home and basically puts her on house arrest and she learns that it’s the boys pulling the strings. As things go through the book she begins to trust the boys. However her stalker is going after them as well. Can she keep herself and the boys safe. Can she trust them? This book ends with their secret coming out and she isn’t sure if she can trust them. It also ends with that as a cliffhanger and I can not wait until the next book comes out! This is a great series and I’m glad I had a chance to read the arc. ** I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Excerpt

Pike bends me over the sink. I grip the edge to prevent falling face-first against
the porcelain. I glance up at him through the mirror to where he's standing behind me,
appraising my body with fierce heat in his fiery eyes. He molds his body against mine. I
close my eyes at the sensation I've been dreaming about feeling since the last time I
saw him. I relish in his scent, his heat.
"Open your eyes, Mic," he orders. "I want you to see this. To see us."
My only response is a whimper. I have no words.
Only need.
As ordered, I open my eyes.
Pike grazes the back of my neck with his lips. "I want to see your reaction in the
mirror as you take my cock. I want you to see mine as I give it to you. I'm not just going
to fuck you. This is a message. One I want you to hear loud and fucking clear so that
there will be no more misunderstandings between us." He reaches between my legs
under my skirt, cupping my pussy over my damp panties.
I push back against him with a loud groan. Pike holds me in place, pushing my
panties down my legs before resuming his touch, this time against bare and soaking wet
flesh.

He groans when he feels what's waiting for him. "This belongs to me." He wraps
an arm around my shoulder, closing a hand over my throat, biting at my earlobe. His
next words are both a statement and a warning, delivered while the shaft of his thick
cock presses against the cleft of my ass.
"You. Belong. To. Me."

About T.M. Frazier

T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier never dreamed that a single person would ever read a word
she wrote when she published her first book. Now, she is a five-time USA Today
bestselling author and her books have been translated into numerous languages and

published all around the world.

T.M. enjoys writing what she calls ‘sexy wrong side of the tracks romance’ with morally

corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines.

Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is
while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at

describing it in the final stages of decay.

She loves meeting her readers, but if you see her at an event please don’t pinch her

because she's not ready to wake up from this amazing dream.

The Rebel ~ Review

The Rebel is the third book in the Rosewood High series. This book features Tessa and Asher. Tessa is Delaney's twin sister, and she is the focus of the second book. So we met Tessa before, and see characters from the first two books often in this book. This book is told from duel points of view which is my favorite writing style.

Tessa meets Asher at a bar. She is 18, but using a fake id. They have a steamy one night stand. A few weeks later she sees him again when she's going to English at school as he is her new English teacher. Asher did not want to be a teacher to a bunch of stuck up kids. He got in injury in football and is upset about his career ending so suddenly. Tessa is going through some of her own battles. Her uncle kidnapped her and his friends abused her to get to her sister and her sister's boyfriend. Her sister graduated, but Tessa had to repeat Senior year. So she's having a hard time with her sister not being there when she needs her, and her father isn't there for her either even though they live together.

Asher and Tessa start to see each other in hiding. Things come out between the two of them. Can they work through it together? Or will it tear them apart? I loved this book, and I'm a huge fan of this author. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Jagger ~ Review

Jagger is the first book in the Steel Shadows Investigation series by Amanda McKinney. I haven't read the Steel Shadows Security books yet, but read Phoenix which is a Steel Shadows Rising book. I think this book could be read as a standalone, as it describes the other characters.

This book is told 90% from the point of view from Max Jagger who is known as Jagg. He is a homicide detective who is trying to solve the murder of his former lieutenant. He comes across the case of Sunny Harper, who is standing with a gun pointed at her now dead attacker. He feels something is off the whole time, but everyone else in the town believes her to be the murderer.  Sunny has been attacked before and doesn't have a lot of trust in men. Jagger is battling his own daemons from being in the war.

With Sunny's life on the line, Jagg helps move her to someplace safe, and feelings start to develop. His career is on the line for the few times that he stands up for Sunny. The head of police is trying to get him fired from his job. Can he protect Sunny from the dangers, before it's to late? Can they learn to trust each other?

I really liked this book and can't wait for the next one in the series!

Be My Brayshaw ~ Review

Be My Brayshaw is the fourth book in the Brayshaw series. This book is Captain and Victoria's story. Captain has had a special place in my heart during the first three books, and I was very excited when it was time for his book. This book is told from duel points of view which is my favorite writing style. I like knowing what both characters are thinking and feeling.

I loved getting to know the back story of Victoria. She was kind of on the side lines during the first three books, and it was nice to get to know her deeper. The connection between Captain and Victoria was great as well. Captain wanted to be the protector of his daughter Zoey, and after things that happened in the first book, he wasn't sure if Victoria should be around his daughter.

After reading this book Captain is still my favorite. He's still the silent type that has to figure out the puzzle of what's going on around him. Once you are in his line of site he will do anything to protect the ones he loves.

I really enjoyed this story, and can not wait for Royce's story! It's going to be great!

Hooking Him ~ Review

Hooking Him is the third book in the How to Catch an Alpha series. I read the first two and loved them. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. This is the final book in the series, and I'm going to be sad to see the characters go! This book could be read as a stand a lone. You get a glimpse to the characters from the other book, but this story lays out all the details you need for this book. This book is told from duel points of view however most of the book is told from the female's point of view.

This story is between Anna and Calvin. Anna called off her marriage from a guy she had been with for 5 years. She wasn't in love with him and was just marrying him to make her family happy by his status. She moved away and her family pretty much disowned her. She wants to find her happy. She works at a bakery and lives in a little apartment above an older lady.

Calvin is a detective going through his own falling out from the woman he thought he loved. She left him, and he has a hard time trusting women now. He meets Anna when he pulls over her landlord. He wasn't very nice to her, when she was trying to help. When he goes to apologize he realizes he has feelings for her. Anna starts to have feelings for him too.

The newspaper reporter publishes that Anna is from money and left her fiancée, and it has everyone in town wanting to get her autograph. It also brings her fiancée back into the picture. Calvin is dealing with unsolved murders. Can they handle the media from Anna's past? Can Calvin solve the murders before it's to late?

I really liked this book, as well as all the others in the series. I can't wait to read more books by this author.

Jackson ~ Review

Jackson is the fourth book in the Rydeville series. This book can be read as a standalone as it explains all characters it comes to contact with, however I read the first three books before I read this book and found that more enjoyable. This book is about Jackson and Vanessa (Nessa). This book is told from duel points of view which is my favorite writing style. It lets you know what both characters are thinking and feeling.

Jackson was one of my favorite characters in the first three books. He was always there to have a good time. However in this book you discover he has his own secrets and wants pay back for what happened to his sister. He wants to go after the man involved, but the man involved is in hiding, so he goes after the next best target. His daughter Vanessa.

Vanessa is just trying to get through life. She has had a rough upbringing. Her stepfather kicked her out of the house once she turned 18 and she's still trying to protect her siblings from a distance. Vanessa has never met or even heard of her father and older brother.

Jackson makes Vanessa fall for him over the summer to try to get intel from her, not realizing she doesn't know anything going on. Jackson feels she's playing him and gets really angry and wants to make her life hell, not realizing she has already been there and back. Protective Jackson is my new favorite. I liked his funny stoner days, but I think I like protective Jackson much better. Can Vanessa forgive Jackson for how he treated her? Can she trust him again?

I really loved this book and can not wait for Sawyer's story. There was a snippit in the back of the book for a preview of Sawyer.

Savage ~ Review

Savage is the third book in the series, and I have loved all three books so far! Ethan was known as a party boy in the first two books, but in this book we learn his family is going through some tough times. His father cheated on his mother, and they got a divorce. Now his new girlfriend and her daughter Raelynn is moving in. As soon as Raelynn moved in his father and his girlfriend took off for a work trip, leaving Ethan and Raelynn all alone.

Ethan decided to make Raelynn's life rough since he was going through a hard time. He didn't know Raelynn had a rough background and had been through worse than Ethan's petty games. Through the book Ethan learns that Raelynn had a rough upbringing, and realizes that the divorce is not Raelynn's fault. He did some stuff to Raelynn and felt he had to make it up to her, but Raelynn is not an easy person to forgive.

I really loved the characters in this book. The banter between the two was great. I also loved how both characters had a chance to grow and learn about the other and their true feelings.

This book was great and I can not wait for the next one in the series!

Riot House ~ Review

Riot house was a short in the Bully Me anthology. I decided to wait for the whole book so I could read it all at once. I'm not a huge fan of cliff hangers.

This book is told from duel point of view which I really like. I like knowing what both characters are thinking and feeling.

The minute I started reading Riot House I was reeled in from the very beginning. I didn't want to put it down. This book features Wren and Elodie. Elodie is sent to Wolf Hall in America away from her father. He is in the military and is very strict.  Wren has been at Wolf Hall all his life and decided to make Elodie's life miserable.

Elodie has dealt with a lot growing up, and she's not going to let Wren and his friends take her down. Her father taught her out to defend herself and she uses it to her advantage.

I love how their secrets came out and they were both able to develop through the book. We learn a lot about the backgrounds and pasts of both of these characters. I was not ready for this book to end and I'm very excited for Pax and Dash's story!

I received an arc of this book and am leaving my honest opinion.

The Saint ~ Review

The Saint is the second book in the Haven Grace Prep series. I really enjoyed the first book, and was very excited to read this one! The Saint features Delaney and Knox. I would suggest you read The Sinner first as the two characters are brought up in the first book, and a lot of characters from the first book show up in this book.

Delaney is a good girl, who stays out of trouble. She goes to a private school. She is in the running for valedictorian. Her twin sister Tessa is the complete opposite of her. She is dating a guy who is friends with Knox. Delaney starts hanging out with Tessa and her friends and meets Knox. Know is the bad boy from the other side of town. He goes to the public school across the road from the private school.

Knox tries to tell Delaney to stay away from him. However feelings are mutual and they start seeing each other. Obviously things have to happen for it to be a good book. I couldn't put the book down. I wanted to keep reading to see what happened.

I really liked this book and can not wait for the next one in the series.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Hunter by LJ Shen ~ Cover Reveal

Boston’s debauched elite is going up in flames, and it’s the Fitzpatrick family that

set it on fire.

The Hunter, an all-new dazzling and delicious contemporary romance from
USA Today bestselling author L.J. Shen is coming May 11th and we have

the stunning cover!

Hunter

I didn’t mean to star in a sex tape, okay?

It was just one of those unexplainable things. Like Stonehenge, Police Academy 2, and

morning glory clouds.
It just happened.

Now my ball-busting father is sentencing me to six months of celibacy, sobriety, and
morbid boredom under the roof of Boston’s nerdiest girl alive, Sailor Brennan.
The virginal archer is supposed to babysit my ass while I learn to take my place in Royal

Pipelines, my family’s oil company.

Little does she know, that’s not the only pipe I’ll be laying…

Sailor

I didn’t want this gig, okay?

But the deal was too sweet to walk away from.
I needed the public endorsement; Hunter needed a nanny.
Besides, what’s six months in the grand scheme of things?

It’s not like I’m in danger of falling in love with the appallingly gorgeous, charismatic
gazillionaire who happens to be one of Boston’s most eligible bachelors.
No. I will remain immune to Hunter Fitzpatrick’s charm.
Even at the cost of losing everything I have.
Even at the cost of burning down his kingdom.

Ember by Emma Renshaw ~ Review

Ember was the first book I read by Emma Renshaw. I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to read the next book in the series. This book is told from duel point of view. I like this books like this so you can understand what each character is thinking.

This book starts with Gunner hanging out with his friends and then a fire happens. He plays baseball and leaves his hometown behind. He has a hard time dealing with all that happened with the fire. 10 years later his mom asks him to come back. When he gets home he realizes he needs to be there for her.

Gunner meets Delilah. Delilah is going through her own battles. I like the connection between both characters and the room for growth between them. I had a hard time putting this book down, because I wanted to know what happened next.
