Reckless at Westbrook High ~ Review

 

Reckless at Westbrook High is the second book in The Kingston Brothers series. This book has a trigger warning at the beginning which is nice for those whom have triggers. This book is told from dual points of view from Wren and Levi. Levi and Wren have been friends. Levi is gay, and Wren is struggling with his sexuality. He has always been with girls, but he has feelings for Levi. That is making him struggle with himself. When Wren's past comes back to haunt him, he does what he can to protect himself and Levi. Levi has his own stuff going on behind closed doors. Wren and his brothers and Callie do what they can to get his past to go away for good. Wren and Levi can't stop their feelings for each other. This book was great. I loved Wren and Levi and their growth with each other. We learned a lot about both characters and I'm glad they got the ending they did. I can't wait to read the next book.

Restless Things ~ Samantha Lovelock

 

Restless Things is the third book in the Folkestone Sins series. This is the first book in Sunday and Payne's duet. This book is told from dual points of view. Sunday and Payne have been best friends since childhood. He has been there for her when she has gone through some rough things. Her brother died and she did not take it well. Her parents are not that great and after something happened they shipped her off. Payne was the only one to see her off. A few years later and something happens to Sunday and it's like seeing a ghost from the past. She's having a hard time with it. Sunday and Payne have feelings for each other. She has loved him for a while now, but when he tells her the same she does not take it well. What will happen when Sunday's past comes back to haunt her? Can Payne still be there for her when she shuts him down? What comes to of the secrets we found out about some of the adults in the book. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see how their relationship grows in the next book.
